Mr. Monaghan is a partner in the firm and has over fifteen years of experience in various areas of the law with a focus on Workers' Compensation, Social Security and Bankruptcy. He also represents several large residential apartment complexes in landlord/tenant matters. He litigates cases in courtrooms throughout the Commonwealth, including administrative, trial and appellate level courts. In addition, he is admitted to practice in federal court. His significant experience and reputation work to his client's advantage in both the courtroom and at the negotiating table where he ensures that his client's rights are protected and that they receive the maximum benefits allowed under the law.
Mr. Monaghan is a member of the Montgomery County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. In 1998, he was awarded a Distinguished Service Award by the Montgomery County Bar Association for his contribution to the public through the Legal Access Project, a program that provides legal representation at a reduced cost for low income individuals. He continues to participate in the Legal Access Project. In addition, Mr. Monaghan has addressed the Workers' Compensation Section of the Montgomery County Bar Association on Legal Ethics in Workers' Compensation.
Mr. Monaghan is a referral attorney and occasional speaker for the Philadelphia Area Project on Occupational Safety and Health (PhilaPOSH). PhilaPOSH is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the rights of injured workers and improving workplace safety throughout the Philadelphia region. Mr. Monaghan is also a frequent lecturer on Workers' Compensation, Bankruptcy, and Family Law matters in various adult education programs located in the Delaware Valley.
Mr. Monaghan received his B.A. in 1988 from Rutgers College and his J.D. in 1991 from Villanova School of Law where he received the Award for Excellence in Civil Litigation.
